Abstract

This research examined the world views of Shaykh Ja'far al-Barjanjji whenwriting prose 'Iqdul Jawahir‟ through the reality of the situation and the conditions of that era, and stylistic analysis in the context of diction and style of language in the book of „Iqdul Jawahir‟. The theories used in this research are hermeneutics, synonym, and polysemy. The method of data collection with noted method. The method of data analysis used stylistic analysis that analyzed the aspects of the diction and style of language in a literary work. The results of this research showed that the worldview of Ja'far Al-Barzanji in the writing of 'Iqdul Jawahir‟ cannot be separated from the long history of political and military conflict between Muslims and Western Christians in the Crusades in the twelfth century in the era of Sultan Salahuddin al-Ayyubi (1138 -1193 AD) and continued in modern war to the European colonization of Asian countries and Africa which dominated by Muslim countries in the era of the sixteenth century. The book of al-Barzanji had also as unifying elements of the Islamic world in order to realize the importance of the figure Prophet Muhammad. In the stylistic analysis showed that the use of diction and style of language in the book of 'Iqdul Jawahir‟ were very high. It showed that the widespread of knowledge and language in the figure of Imam al-Barzanzi. For the example, the choice of words انزىشيتin the verse poem al-Barzanji انزىشيت أمنت صذفت من ممشه َإن نمهو(so God had moved the Nur to the sacred Aminah) means "holy", but the true meaning of the word انزىشيتwas the call for the names of all the girls from nasab Kilab bin Murrah bin Ka'b bin Ghalib bin Fahr bin Luay, so that the Prophet's mother also received انزىشيت. Similarly, the choice of words in a poem هللا اسخمنحً انعخشة يتٌاننب انطاىشة انعخشة يخص اناٌسض َحعان(and I beg the pleasure of Allah specifically for the descendants of the Holy Prophet) is defined as "relatives or descendants", the word انعخشةin sociolinguistic understanding means that the word has a variety of high social status when sorted according to the word that is a synonym for رسيت- نسب- عخشة نسم- سىظ- that everything have a meaning "descent".
